A top tier financial firm is seeking to add a Quant Risk Analyst to their Prime Brokerage Risk team in New York. The role involves managing the development and implementation of quantitative models that capture the margin risk of client portfolios. The firm requires the candidate have an advanced quantitative degree couples with a deep understanding of risk measurement methodologies. A minimum of three to five years of experience in the fixed income market risk management group is necessary. Both sell side and buy side candidates will be considered. Excellent communication skills are of prime importance since the role will be interacting with a myriad of groups within Prime Brokerage.
The Investment Management arm of an IB is seeking an analyst to work closely with rest of the team supporting a variety of trading and risk management operations. The individual will have responsibility for cash flow model development and validation; scenario generation model development; quantitative support for a variety of trading strategies; and asset-liability and interest rate risk management. Experience in structured products (rmbs, cmbs) and esoteric ABS (aircraft securitizations) is required. Masters degree in math, engineering or computer science and a maximum of six years experience is needed.

Some background in dealing with hedge funds is required. Ideally the individual with have hedge fund relationships he can call on and introduce to the firm.

Understanding of the high yield markets and in-depth credit analysis experience focusing on providing funding and acquisition financing for high yield companies is needed. Financial analysis/modeling, industry research, coordination of internal and external processes related to a financing or sale; preparation of offering memoranda; quantitative problem solving and demonstration of a strong grounding in finance, accounting and capital markets; excellent written and oral communication skills required for participation in meetings and presentations in order to conduct strong and persuasive arguments defending positions and demonstrating the ability to sell the firm's services successfully. A minimum of three years experience within Leveraged Finance or within a high yield debt products group is required. Undergraduate from a top school and an MBA is preferred.
